If you have been redirected here, don’t worry! We look after the recycling of waste electrical equipment for many companies across the UK and have encouraged them to link through to our collection order form.

WEEE Background

The European Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronics Equipment (WEEE) aims to reduce the environmental impact caused by the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment at the end of its operational life.

In the UK, the WEEE Regulations became law on January 2nd 2007 and place certain requirements on companies that manufacture, import or re-brand EEE. Such companies are known as Producers and may have obligations to assist in meeting targets for re-use, recycling and recovery of waste equipment. Producers may also have obligations relating to the take-back and recycling of EEE supplied to business users once the equipment reaches the end of its life.

Budget Pack is an accredited compliance scheme and takes on the obligations of these Producers when they join the scheme as a member.
