

The Packaging Regulations came into force in the UK on 6th March 1997 and encourages companies that handle packaging to reduce the environmental impact of packaging and packaging waste. The Regulations achieve this by placing obligations on companies to meet recycling and recovery targets for packaging waste and encouraging the minimisation and reuse of packaging.
